The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the decision yesterday following a rigorous selection process.
Madhavan brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the world of cinema, making him an ideal choice to lead one of India’s premier film schools.
With over two decades in the industry, Madhavan has established himself as a prominent figure in Bollywood and South Indian cinema.
His impressive work includes critically acclaimed films such as Rang De Basanti and Vikram Vedha, 3 Idiots, where he showcased his acting prowess across various genres.

Beyond acting, Madhavan also boasts a strong understanding of filmmaking techniques, having directed and produced a few projects under his banner.
