Priyanka Chopra Jonas, an actor and producer, sold two Mumbai apartments to director, producer, and screenwriter Abhishek Chaubey.
She bought the penthouses for Rs. 7 crore in 2017 and sold them to Chaubey for Rs. 6 crore in October 2023.
The penthouses are on the ninth floor of Karan Apartment in Lokhandwala and have a combined area of nearly 2,300 square feet.
Chaubey paid Rs. 36 lakh in stamp duty for the transaction.
Priyanka Chopra currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Nick Jonas. She has sold her properties in Mumbai.
In 2021, she sold another apartment in Lokhandwala for Rs. 7 crore and leased a commercial property in Oshiwara for Rs. 2.11 lakh per month.
Chaubey, a well-known Bollywood director, has directed critically acclaimed films such as Ishqiya, Dedh Ishqiya, and Udta Punjab.
He is currently working on his next film, Sardar. The penthouse sale shows how the real estate market in Mumbai is changing.
Demand for luxury properties has decreased, and many celebrities sell their homes for less.
Despite the market downturn, Chaubey is confident he made a good investment.
He thinks the penthouses are in a great location and will increase in value.

The penthouse sale also shows Chopra and Chaubey’s close friendship.
They’ve known each other for years and worked together on several projects. Abhishek is a great friend, Chopra said.
